Materials we use...
Timber types:
We offer a choice of either Douglas Fir with Oak sills or if you prefer we can offer you 100% Oak. We always include Oak sills on every window to ensure the utmost resistance to all weather conditions and longevity of the windows life.
Softwood - If you have done your research, as we have, you will also know that Douglas Fir is the most preferred softwood for exterior joinery because of its strength, durability and beautiful natural wood grain.

Hardwood - There are many Hardwoods available on the market but none can match up to the beauty, quality, durability, strength and reputation that Oak has made for itself over previous centuries.

Paints & Stains:
We have tried and tested many brands of Water Based Micro Porous paints available throughout UK and Europe and decided upon Sayerlack (by Arch Chemicals) purely because of its overall quality. There were many cheaper brands but we do our best to offer you the highest quality products at a very competitive price and do not substitute quality for anything. Please refer to the Sayerlack web site for Technical Specifications and Maintenance.
Glass:
Most Timber Windows & Doors we make are prepared to allow for the best possible and most optimal 24mm Double Glazed Glass. Single glazed items are also available should you require this. We can supply Double Glazed LowE Clear glass 4-16-4 only (u-value = 1.1) Should you have or require custom glass such as stained, obscure etc, we send the glass sizes to you before our delivery arrives so you can have the glass prepared and ready for our arrival, this eliminates any delays to your customer and installation.
Packaging and Delivery:
Our windows are packaged with a soft white board and wrapped in a plastic foil to ensure they arrive safely, unmarked and in pristine condition, just as they left Quality Control at the factory.
All packages are clearly referenced so you know what’s for what and for who upon delivery.
